Maternity photos

I wanted maternity photos, but didn't want to pay a lot of money. Luckily, I found a solution to my problem meters away--my neighbor's cool son. He won an award just a couple of weeks ago for best intermediate photographer at his high school. He was very sweet and took time out of studying for finals.

Closet dividers for Schicklet

My friend received lots of clothing for her baby girl as gifts and hand me downs. Once she went on maternity leave, the hand me downs started coming to me. I knew I needed to organize the closet so I would be able to find Schicklet something to wear other than a diaper. I came across this post for DIY closet dividers. I immediately decided I must make some for Schicklet's closet. It was a cheap project. I bought some new paints, Mod Podge, wooden O's and new stickers. I already had scrapbook paper and brushes. I had stickers as well but they were larger than what I wanted to use. Total cost-- $8.87. I used a Michael's coupon for the Mod Podge and the stickers were 50% off at Hobby Lobby.
I might have to make my friend some for her daughter's closet.

Baton Rouge

CAS and I had our last spontaneous trip before Schicklet arrives. We didn't go to an exotic location or somewhere new. A simple, lovely trip to Baton Rouge was what my doctor didn't but should have ordered for the third trimester.

Lucky Ducky

I just returned home from spending some time over at the "main house". While Christian focused on the crazy Houston drivers, I thought about a Facebook post my younger older brother, Richard/Rich, wrote a picture I posted. Rich said he wished he could have been here to attend a concert with my dad, brother, sister and I. It reiterated how blessed Christian and I are to live close to my dad and his parents. Then I started thinking about how lucky I am to live close to my older sister, Mia, and first older brother, Jim. Even if Mia did ask me today what I was doing at the house.(I think she was trying to figure out if I came over to make her cook for me.) Christian doesn't have the same luxury as I do with his sisters. He can't just show up at their house. If he did, it might raise some red flags since it would take him at least a day to drive to either sister's house. Sure, he can Skype,Web cam,or even call them but it is not the same. How many people I wonder, take for granted their families live close by, because they have never lived further than maybe 4 hours away max? I could probably write an extremely long post about all of this, but I will just end with the picture that started all of this thinking.
**Yes, pregnancy hormones probably played a major role in this post. Please just let me think I am not hormonal.
